Today ended up arriving in golden glory both literally and for me as mom - athlete. I sometimes had my doubts we would ever get here, as I did not have children who liked to move much in their earlier years.
As far as the literal perfect timing went, SBRR met down at the SB Waterfront at 6:30 AM just a hop skip and a jump away from where Abbey needed to be at 6:25 AM for her first morning practice for Santa Barbara Swim Club. Her practice was done at 9:30 AM with a half hour "pot luck" breakfast until 10:00 AM.... PERFECT!!!!
Even more perfect is that my sweet Abbey Girl has now joined her brother in finding a life long sport that she is willing to get up in the freezing dark of a Saturday morning to participate in! I never thought we would get here. Wow!
My crazy self has rubbed off on the young'uns.
Water Polo and Swimming.... Well, Jenn Lopez, I think I need at least one of your kids to be a runner to make up for this. I think I've got Lori's Nina in my camp.
