When They Were Young

When they were young, I was younger.

I cared more about a clean house, so my house was clean.

I had more control, so they went to bed and the house was ours every night after 8 so dates at home or in the backyard were GREAT!

My daughter didn't bake or make smoothies so the kitchen was usually clean.  There was usually food in the fridge when they were young.

When they were young, we entertained a lot because we were in control of the social calendar then… well… and the house was clean…. and well… I usually didn't work on the weekends so much then.

I worked part time when they were really young, so I was a balanced woman… for the most part.

Now, not so much… balance that is.  The house is a constant mess, and I don't care.  I understand my mom a lot better now.

Let's just go out to eat.
