This fall has been humbling. I have had to reevaluate on several levels. What I have learned is... You must build on where you are.
I am a good teacher. I know I am. All I need to do it be prepared to meet the kids where they are. Where they are is not where I want them to be sometimes but I need to be celebrating when WE are where we are. Period.
Running is like that. Running teaches me so many lessons.
Yesterday I ran 15.3 mile with 5 miles at a slower pace than I would normally run at this point in my running toward Boston in 11 weeks. BUT... I celebrate those 15 miles and the 5 at a pace that left me sore and needing to run VERY slow today.
Life is not a race. Life is being the best you can be with where you are at.
Period.
