Rainbows

Rainbows remind me of my mother.  Rainbows are hope.  They are the future.  They are grace and forgiveness. Rainbows don't mean you have to completely agree. My mother and I didn't completely agree.  God I miss her.

I will not forget the day not too long ago that someone near to me mentioned that rainbows had been stolen. You know what I am saying.... I caved inside my being to hear that... but I wasn't surprised.

Rainbows haven't been stolen.  They are hope for all and that all that a person can be.  Just be.  Just love.  Stop the judgement and the hatred.  Why? THIS IS A DEMOCRACY. WE DON'T ALL HAVE TO AGREE!

I love rainbows. I love the hope. I love the diversity.  I love that not everyone is like me.  Rainbows are what makes this nation a great one. Rainbows make us great.

Don't ever stop letting others be different.  Don't ever stop understanding all of it. Don't ever try to keep the promise of hope from anyone... no matter who they are where they come from. This is what makes America great.

I am hopeful.  I believe in God made rainbows to remind us to be just that and nothing else.

Don't lose hope.  It is all going to be ok.  WE can do this.
