I am a wife, mother, teacher, runner and Christian. I am also now a spinner, but not sure if I want that to be my identity, so will leave it off for now. This post is about me the wife. This is a part of me that is very very important and supports all of my other obsessions and needs. It is also the part of me that is the most neglected and taken for granted, so it is important to run away with my lover and forget everything else at least a few times a year. Which brings me to the last 24 hours...
Kevin and I just got back from 24 hours away. Yes, we spent way too much money on a swanky hotel in Santa Monica. Yes, I spent more on a pair of Lululemon pants than I have ever spent in my life. Love them! Yes, my salad was smaller than most dinner salads and was $21.. Not to mention Kevin's $13 martinis and my pricey mojito and the very pricey after dinner wine and $9 basket of bread.... We did get a free walk on the beach from SM down to Venice Beach this morning (priceless). And, so nice to have free kid - puppy sitting by Dad and Linda. Life is good. Soooo much better than spending bucks and time on marriage counseling. I really love my husband and wow... so nice to hang out with him. :)
